Experience fast, colorful results with the Prairie Pronto Seed Mix. Specially designed to establish quickly, the majority of species in this blend will germinate and bloom during the first growing season, providing an early display of native prairie beauty. Additional species may emerge and flower during the second and third years, adding diversity and seasonal interest as the planting matures.
While this mix offers rapid establishment, it is composed primarily of perennial native species that continue to develop over time. Patience is rewarded, with optimum establishment typically occurring within two to three years. The result is a resilient, long-lasting planting that supports pollinators and showcases the beauty of Nebraska’s native prairies.
With blooms extending from early spring through late fall, Prairie Pronto provides a continuous source of nectar and pollen for bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects throughout the growing season.
This local ecotype seed mix contains approximately 200 seeds per square foot, promoting quicker and denser establishment. Recommended minimum seeding rates are 40 seeds per square foot when drilling and 80 seeds per square foot when broadcasting.
