This is the first book of two written by a loving grandfather for his only grandchild. Things I Wanted My Grandson to Know Before I Leave presents a collection of quotes, sayings, snippets, and observations that author Kenn Stobbe believes helped him to live a successful, God-centered life.
Kenn's Grandson was born to his adopted daughter, a single mother. The boy became the son the older man never had, born when he was already in his mid-sixties. Since the boy is without father to give him advice, Kenn--thinking he would not live long enough to pass any words of wisdom along to his grandson as he was growing up--decided to write them out instead.
His primary objective is to help his grandson live the same type of life he has himself. As part of this collection, Kenn addresses, life, love, common sense, manners, morals, values, and beliefs, with a sprinkling of his own thoughts and opinions. Some of the entries are humorous, while others are more serious and thought-provoking.
Things I Wanted My Grandson to Know Before I Leave offers a heartwarming glimpse into the character and integrity of one man and into the depth of his love for his grandson.

Kenn Stobbe has always admired the cowboy way of life- simple, hardworking, and honest. He and his wife, Jan, make their home in ranching country northwest of Burwell, Nebraska, in the beautiful Nebraska Sandhills.
It tastes great and is healthy. I mix it with 'regular' grain-based granola and yogurt. It is quite expensive and I was told it was a 'seasonal item' available only around December.
very impressed with the ease of ordering through Grow Nebraska and very pleased with the rapid shipment of the product by the supplier. The receiver has not replied with quality of product information as of yet
Can't get enough of it, the only one we use.
I've eaten this dressing for over 50 years when it was first served at the St. Paul, NE Legion Club where my parents & I would go for dinner occasionally.
This was the only place to get the dressing on your salad but now I can order it & enjoy it in my CA home over 50 yrs later.
Receiver thought the different color corn was so neat and are excited to try it
Loved it! It was a huge hit at our Pink Out celebration!
I’ve searched for a long time to find a Belgian waffle mix that delivers that distinct restaurant-quality crispness, and Heartland Gourmet Belgian Waffle Mix finally checks all the boxes. The waffles come out golden with that perfect crisp on the edges while staying soft and fluffy inside. It is the closest I have come to recreating that classic Belgian waffle taste and texture at home, and it is absolutely worth it.
