This classic beeswax Pillar Candle weighs approximately 1 lb 6 oz (about 22 oz). Each candle is hand-poured from 100% pure beeswax, a remarkable natural material made by bees and never successfully replicated in laboratories. Beeswax is prized for its performance, delivering a bright, slow burn with no drip and no soot.

When lit, the candle releases a soft, naturally sweet aroma—a delicate perfume of blooming flowers with a gentle hint of honey. Its substantial size and clean burn make it well suited for extended use, centerpiece displays, or quiet everyday enjoyment.

The optional oak candle stand is designed and crafted by a local artisan using oak sourced from 100-year-old trees in Eastern Nebraska. The wood is air-dried for three years, then finished to a warm, translucent glow. Each stand is unique in color and grain, adding natural character and regional authenticity to every piece.

After years of working in education and economic development at the state of Nebraska, Betty was ready for retirement and wondered what was next for her. She wasn't interested in golf, traveling, church activities, or volunteering … so she thought about things she might be interested in. Surprisingly, bee-keeping rose to the top of the list. In January of 2006 she enrolled in a Beginning Beekeeping class and set up her hives in a neglected pasture. Her tenacity paid off and soon she was harvesting 300 pounds of raw honey - much more than she could give away to family and friends. When deciding what to do with all this excess honey, she landed on mustard. She now bottles two different mustards as well as honey and other bees wax items. Based in Holdrege, Nebraska.
