Mushroom popcorn is ideal for making caramel corn and other candy-coated snacks, as it pops into large, round "mushroom" shapes that stay intact during coating. This fresh, non-GMO popcorn is packaged in a 1 lb (16 oz) resealable bag to maintain freshness. For the best popping experience, use oil on the stovetop or an air popper—microwaving is discouraged to preserve the popcorn’s distinctive shape. Popping instructions are included.

*processed in a facility that handles wheat and soybeans*

Free Day Popcorn is a family-run business located on the Kansas-Nebraska state line, where founders Nate and Stacey Freitag transformed generations of farming tradition into a passion for producing fresh, high-quality popcorn. The name “Free Day” is a nod to their last name—Freitag—which means “Friday” in German, or literally, “free day.” Their popcorn is non-GMO, gluten-free, and 100% whole grain, grown with care on the family farm where Nate’s father has been cultivating popcorn since the 1980s. Today, Nate balances teaching high school online while Stacey manages the business and raises their four daughters—making Free Day Popcorn a true labor of love. Based in Byron, Nebraska.
