Picking Wild Flowers is a children's book based on Ginger ten Bensel's newest song. While the words are Ginger’s, the illustrations belong to her 88-year-old mother, who first began painting at the early age of 8 years old, her mother has now passed on. This book is dedicated as one of the last things she was able to paint before her death.
The team effort in this book was inspired in part by Ginger’s twin niece and nephew, as well as her mother who all originated in Nebraska.
Ginger is a singer/songwriter from Cambridge, Nebraska who has quite the resume to her name. She's recorded in Nashville at Sony Tree Studios, and has opened for the likes of Chuck Berry and Clint Black. She's had the pleasure and honor to sing at multiple Nebraska governors' inaugural balls, and she's even sung for two U.S. Presidents.
