The Harris family are 4th & 5th generation Nebraskans that desire to go back to their family’s heritage of farming and ranching for a healthier and simpler life, even if it’s on a very small scale. They live on a 15-acre farm they purchased in 2013 when it was nothing but an undeveloped piece of grass pasture. Since then they have developed it into a beautiful homestead, a regenerative farm where they grow much of their own food, and a home for a few donkeys, a few horses, a flock of chickens, and a few livestock animals now and then. In addition to making natural soap & skincare products with ranch-sourced animal fats, they also grow hemp, potatoes, corn, dry beans, sweet corn, green beans, tomatoes, popcorn, and more. The bulk of their ingredients are purchased from small/regional operations, family farms and ranches, and they truly believe in supporting and partnering with other small businesses all across the USA. I need to start by saying I am a soap skeptic. When I ordered 1 bar of each to support two guys from my hometown starting a new business. I AM SO GLAD I DID!! I showered with the Vanilla Bonfire, and Oh My Goodness: I am hooked!! The fragrance is subtle, but lasting even after I am dried off and dressed. The silky lather is clean and not heavy, like my more expensive body wash. I shaved my legs and my razor just glided over and left such a smooth feeling. When I rinsed my body off I noticed how clean I actually felt! I did not feel like it had lotions or chemicals on my skin. I could almost squeak if I wasn't so soft! When I rinsed out my washcloth, it did not have the heavy feeling, like usual, of still being filled with soap. It was clean and light. I dried off and my skin was so soft. And I could still smell the Vanilla Bonfire! Something I like in a soap. Subtle but there! It is now 4 hours later and my skin is still just as soft and smells just as wonderful!!! I HIGHLY recommend this line of soaps if you are looking for a clean, luxurious feeling after your shower or bath!!
