The "Great American Desert" was the term used by the people east of the Mississippi River to express their idea of the country westward when it was an unknown land. So glad the early settlers were wrong about Nebraska. This is why we call Nebraska home. It's not a good fit for everyone. This design encompasses the endless rows of crops in the fields as well as the endless rays of the sun. The colors resemble the earthy and desert tones found in a desert of corn.
