Sod Walls is a book written all about the establishment of how the first sod houses came to be, and what originated the idea. The writer Roger Welsh did a study on barns before he did this and goes on to say in this book Sod houses are a different ball park because barns had an origination from Europe but the sod house was specifically credited to the plains. This book is dedicated to the people who founded that idea. They created something, and used the materials they had to build on the prairie. This book dives into that history, and some Nebraska stories that started it all.
