Lavender Caprese: A Backyard BBQ Twist
Lavender Balsamic Caprese Salad
A Summer Twist Featuring Local Nebraska Lavender
Summer BBQs and garden parties call for something fresh, easy, and a little unexpected. This twist on the classic Caprese salad adds a floral pop with lavender balsamic vinegar and lavender olive oil from Nebraska’s very own Our Lavender Co. The result? A sweet-savory, fragrant dish that’s as beautiful as it is delicious.
🌿 Meet the Makers: Our Lavender Co.
Stephanie, Peggy, and Nicole—three generations of strong Nebraska women—are the family behind Our Lavender Co., a lavender farm in Big Springs. Rooted in fourth-generation farming, their journey began when Stephanie turned to gardening during a difficult postpartum season. Inspired by the healing power of growing something beautiful, the trio planted their first field of lavender in 2019. Today, they offer clean, organic lavender goods online and in their on-farm store, including the lavender balsamic vinegar thatmakes this dish so special.
