The artist gained inspiration from replacing a light switch at work. The beautiful print is 11" x 14" and is ready to frame.
ABOUT THE ARTIST: Kent H. Theesen a native of Hastings, Nebraska has been creating artwork for over thirty years. A graduate of Brown Institute of Broadcasting in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1980. Theesen enjoyed several years in the Entertainment business as an Air Personality in Various Radio Stations in the late 70's to the early 90's. Working in Nebraska, Kansas, Utah and outside of Madrid, Spain at Torrejon AB, Spain. Theesen also has been involved in the Television and Film Industry since 1987 doing background work in over 25 productions, most recently Eagle Eye and Yes Man.
The Artwork (Early Years)
Theesen's first collage was made for a friend who was a Beatle's fan. This piece was of the Beatle's highlighted by John Lennon who was shot and killed in 1980. Back then he used Elmer's Glue and a piece of plywood for the backboard.
The Artwork (The Middle Years)
Theesen used Elmer's glue sticks and special method of making the collage of several pictures to appear as one to the final smooth piece of artwork. No computers were ever used to create the making of his pieces. Each piece was cut with perfection and placed to create a one of a kind piece of artwork.
The Artwork (Today)
Theesen stepped up to the world of digital photography. Enhancement of photos provided by various sources to put his Tee-Sun Magic to the test of time on his pieces of artwork. Using various methods that are available creates one of kind pieces still today.
His artwork has been shown in galleries including Omaha and in Grand Island Nebraska. In the collections of former Nebraska Head Coach Tom Osborne, Actor Jed Alan (Don Craig of Days of Our Lives) Country Singer Garth Brooks and other local Nebraska collectors as well.
