Liars Too is by Roger Welsch who has dedicated 35 years of his life to the examination of American folk humor, not only - he points out - because humor is important to an understanding of America and especially it's frontier, but because "No one enjoys those stories and jokes more than I do!"

When Welsch began writing "The Liar's Corner" Column for the Nebraska Farmer magazine in 1985, he lived in Lincoln, Nebraska and taught at the University of Nebraska. Since then he has, as he says, "taken my own advice and moved to the rural countryside, where the very best of American humor is still alive and laughing."
