This warclub is made on a willow stick. The handle is wrapped with rabbit fur and woven leather. The club is accented with four wild turkey feathers and has orange plastic pony beads on the quills. The stone head is bound to the shaft with leather and sinew. The width at the stone of this piece is 3". The warclub is 16" long and the tassels are 9.5" long.
Dennis Whiteface's warclubs are among his top selling items. The Lakota warriors used stone war clubs for hundreds of years prior to the arrival of Western settlers nad trappers. Traditionally, the shorter the handle of the war club, the braver the warriors. This meant he was not afraid to get close to his enemy.
