Juan Espinosa's art work is a family tradition that is a dying art culture. He learned his techniques from his father who married his mother, a member of the Oglala Sioux. Juan's mother taught his father the Oglala Sioux art and culture ways of life. This is still their way of living today and is what provides food for their family. Juan teaches his children this way of life as well.
