It all started in 1998 when Neal Ely gathered his family around their kitchen table in Grafton, NE. Neal needed to come up with an idea to submit for FFA (Future Farmers of America). Then the idea hit him, Asparagus! He could grow it, and his mom, Tami, already had an amazing family recipe for pickling the family’s favorite vegetable.
