Have you hugged your crock pot today? You’ll want to, after you try these sandwiches! Crock Pot Pulled Pork with Dorothy Lynch Coleslaw? Heck, yeah!

So what's the deal with this Dorothy Lynch dressing anyway?

A common misconception about Dorothy Lynch, because of its color, is that it’s “just another French dressing.”  In fact, it’s not a French dressing at all. What you may not know, is that French dressings are oil based, whereas Dorothy Lynch is tomato based. It’s got a rich and creamy texture, that is sweet and just a little bit spicy.

Dorothy Lynch got its start in the 1940’s at the Legion Club in St. Paul, Nebraska.  Dorothy made her homemade dressing for the restaurant, and people fell in love with it.  These days, the famed dressing is made in a 64,000 square foot plant in Duncan, Nebraska, population 351. Dorothy Lynch dressing is available in Home Style and Light & Lean. It contains no MSG, cholesterol, or trans fats and is gluten free.

In Nebraska, we take care of our own. We support our community, our farmers and the products that are made here in our state.

Nebraska is a football state, through and through. We are diehard Cornhusker fans, filling our stadium with close to 100,000 fans every football Saturday. Dorothy Lynch is a proud supporter of Husker Athletics. When you are in Memorial Stadium for a game, you will find Dorothy Lynch in the condiment section.

We’ve heard it’s fantastic on Runza Sandwiches and Valentino’s pizza, too!

What's so great and different between regular coleslaw and Dorothy Lynch coleslaw?

If you have ever made homemade coleslaw, you know it needs to take its time in the fridge. Giving all of those flavors a chance to get all cozy and acquainted. This Dorothy Lynch Coleslaw is no different.

An Affair From The Heart came up with a great coleslaw recipe, that is a knock off of the one you have at KFC. She started playing around with the recipe and added some Dorothy Lynch dressing. The result? It turned out amazing! It resembled the look of Pink Coleslaw. The Dorothy Lynch added a zip to it that her whole family just loved. If any suggestion with it, I would say to drizzle a little more Dorothy Lynch over the top of the slaw.
